the answer to that would be timing. We have high hopes for Liljegren but he's 19

And we just spent YEARS developing Dumba to the player he is today, and he's still improving, making the top pair now... why would we want to hit the reset button and start over on someone who may or may not ever get to that level?

Before this offseason it was needing to be signed Gardiner for needing to be signed Dumba, supposedly because the Wild couldn't afford to sign both Dumba and Zucker.

After this offseason it's extended Gardiner for extended Dumba because... lol?
