McCabe - Liljegren (future top pairing)
Rielly - Schenn (played with Hughes)
Giordano - Brodie (Norris pairing)
Holl and Timmins sit (past and future)

I could see it this way, or switching Liljegren and Brodie around, which admittedly feels more likely to me

Can't wait to see the lines for today's game

Don't think he'll change the line-ups from ydays practice outside of maybe kerfoot replacing engvall on the 3rd line and ZAR coming back in on the 4th line.

I don't see Holl coming out for Schenn this game, maybe tomorrow on the back to back.

Probably sit Liljegren for Schenn ... can't let Holl get stale.

j/k - even Keefe isn't that in love with Holl :sarcasm::scared:

Great opportunity to test the new squad. Should be exciting!

With a little luck, it's something like 7:2 Leafs. McJesus scores twice.

They don't have too many games left to find new chemistry, hopefully, Edmonton is just a warm-up exercise and new players continue to gel seamlessly with the core.

It might be a playoff atmosphere game. Probably a lot of excitement for both teams.

I have expectations of:
losing or winning big or small close or chasms apart.

So many changes, and there could be focus issues.

Not catching the Bruins, so these next few games are about chemistry and waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Pretty wild that all the new guys get introduced to the Leafs for the Western Canada trip. Jump in the deep end as to what playing for the Leafs is all about.

A good time to bond on the road. It might not be a pretty first few games in terms of chemistry and all that but we'll see.

After all the trades this is a highly anticipated game now. Especially with McDavid obviously.

Is Campbell in tonight? Be fun to get a bunch on him.

I'm guessing some of the new guys from yesterdays trades probably won't be in the lineup.
We probably see a 45 save shut from campbell:laugh::laugh:

Im excited to see who keefe puts in the squad for today and tmrw. A lot of options, especially on D

With all these new guys we might hit a little road bump as they adjust
I would understand if it was top six guys, most of the bottom six types usually get tossed in a blender or moved up and down and in and out of the lineup so I wouldn't see it as much of a problem.
The d I could see being an issue but SK hasn't kept the same pairs together long-term enough for them to build chemistry(injuries aside) Maybe take Kerfoot and Holl away from him and this team may build some before the playoffs

Exciting times with all the new adds.

Leafs should dominate possession in the offensive zone. That Oilers defence is..... wooof!

Keep McDavid in check (easier said than done) and more importantly, stay out of the box. Oilers are an abysmal 5 on 5 team.

Expect alot of alternating penalties, as per league rules.

Slashing the stick, then Interference, rinse and repeat.

goals sell games.

Nothing wrong with that either and I agree he's a nice person but his goaltending is pretty mediocre.

Looked good on the Leafs.

Is this now the most highly anticipated game of the Year?

I was just coming here to post... I'm very excited for tonight. Some excitement before the playoffs begin...

It's the Oilers, certainly not.

Different conference, not a natural rival.

I'd prefer games against Boston, Tampa etc. to see how we stack up.
New players on the ice see how they Gel...we also have a short time to get them feeling solid for the playoffs even if it's the Oilers. I think they did good with the Ekholm trade

Shame, I'm sure most are crazy excited.
Looks like you've got a pretty boring month ahead of you waiting for those games.

Never said it was boring?

It's nice to see new players and how they gel, but certainly not the most anticipated game. For me anyway.

All the lineup and D combos and nobody is mentioning Gustafsson. He does have 7 goals and 38 points which would lead our D, and averages 20 mins/night, but I guess not as strong defensively. Gotta think between today and tomorrow with back to backs all of McCabe, Schenn and Gus will see the ice no? Unless as many have pointed out Gus is traded... must be a few teams out there that could use a 38 point pp specialist on a cheap contract. Also a good depth guy. Good problems to have I guess?
