The NHL than gives us a condition on game day that Randy Carlyle will have to be the coach in the series.

They have decided to celebrate our Centennial in 2027 as the franchise only started using the Maple Leafs name in 1927.

That way we don't have to share our special year with a bunch of 50 year teams.

That won't work because that's the Blackhawks 100th too and they'll get the ASG, WC, and Draft. And since Kane, Toews, Keith will have all retired by then they will be just as bad as the Leafs are now... but 'Merica.

If that's true it would not happen until the 2017-2018 season and not next season when the Leafs outdoor game would be.

Dec 2017 = 2017-2018 season.

They say the Leafs outdoor game at BMO Field would be January 1, 2017 which will happen during the 2016-2017 season.

If Ottawa hosts an outdoor game in December 2017 it would be during the 2017-2018 season, since the NHL regular season always starts sometime during the month of October.

Exactly... Bettman continues to show us his 2 middle fingers at every turn, yet, we still turn our hard earned cash over to him via the Leafs and MLSE.

The only way Bettman gives the Leafs anything of value is if they were in financial trouble.
