Why wouldn’t Real Madrid be deserving?
IMO it's because they've been carried by Ramos and Benzema offensively, while the rest of the production has been below average. They only have 59 goals, which is pretty bad for what they usually produce.

You just expect RM to destroy teams week in, week out, but they only sorta play solid, composed football that isn't really in their nature.

We're used to seeing both clubs scoring 100+ goals per season, but neither club will come to those totals.

They desperately need some more attacking flair added to their squad. I don't understand why they aren't after Sancho. He'd slot perfectly on the right.

We are not after Sancho because we have guys like Bale and James on huge salaries and we are not able to sell them.

It hurts because you know the management is only thinking about winning as many trophies as they can while Messi is still around. This is an aging core and the golden years are behind us. Thinking at the moment is very short term.

Because they too have been trash at times this year. Take city for example who apparently suck this year but yet went to Madrid and beat them. Any good team would've beat both Madrid/Barca for the league.

If they were intent on winning now they wouldn't be playing Vidal/Ivan and getting Pjanic. JMO

Must hurt Arsenal fans to finally see a healthy Santi Cazorla working his magic once again. The guy is great at ball progression and they have never been able to replace him.

Yeah but you know, he missed some goals against Barca... Higuain and all that....
They need more goals from somewhere. Two straight years where they’re going to finish with fewer than 70 league goals. With CR7 they routinely scored 90-100 goals every year under multiple managers.

Benzema was true class, but so was Lopez in that match. Another post I'll admit that I was totally wrong about Karim regressing, he's as world class as he was six seasons ago. Messi should take a pointer or two in how to age gracefully and classy.

Im really liking how vocal this guy is.
I'm hearing is that the move is to balance the books from the covid situation. If that's true, it makes more sense why they don't mind losing this deal.

Oh absolutely, but I think it was best for both parties to move on. Arsenal to get him off the wage bill and Cazorla to revitalise his career, he's still got a Gunners heart for me.

He's also missed a lot of women's ages too!

The thing with Real is that they wingers aren't contributing with goals and their midfield has always been poor at scoring goals (even though Casemiro has upped his contributions). You can't expect much from Kroos or Modric when it comes to putting the ball on the net.

Hazard has been a bust so far due part to his injuries. Rodrygo could become that goalscorer winger they are missing but still too young. They really need a guy like Mbappe or Neymar to go with Benzema.

There's actually nothing wrong with thinking about winning as many trophies as you can while Messi is still around. I don't think that's their motive though. Their motive was to balance the books by leveraging the respective fiscal years and make the team as competitive as possible without spending money so they can win something and keep this board in power come next year's election.

Well you didn't like a couple of months back.

Salah on the right would be perfect. But Liverpool won’t sell and doubt he wants to see Ramos everyday Lol.

That's because they don't play Casmeiro as a CAM and Junior in the starting XI. If they played Junior as much as they play a weakester like Kroos, they would have another Jadon Sancho on their hands.
