When is Kingston next pick
Realy with the lack of picks Kingston has they could not afford to take a flyer on Fantilli. You guys need warm bodies that want to play
Not until the end of the third - then they have 3 picks out of 11 - #54, #59, #64

That George kid may end up being there for their 3rd rd pick
I had just started typing out a post - I admittedly don't know too much/haven't watched any tape, but there has to be a reason everyone had him as a top 3/4 defensman. I'd be pretty happy if they were able to get him at 54

It does seem strange to drop that far, but who knows

Interesting draft, really disappointed the front's didn't grab Donovan McCoy. Hope this Budnick guy reports.

I'm officially a Fronts fan with Poole and Heyes going there lol. Poole is a 2-way stud. If he can get his skating better he could be elite as an 18/19 year old. Heyes will need a year of Jr A but could be a good 3rd line player in the OHL later in his career

Since you seem to know these guys - does a more skilled, less agitating Dawson Baker make sense as a comp style-wise for Poole? Poole obviously seems to have a much higher ceiling - would you see Baker as a floor for Poole?

Yeah that's probably fair. Poole will ended up being better at just about everything than Baker but can definitely play that agitator role but he'll be one of the better 2 way centres. Really good on draws and killing penalties

Anyone have insight on Lane Hutson? I see he's a US NDTP guy - so may not report, but I'm more wondering about his size. Prospect Pipeline has him at 5'10" 170lbs, but the Fronts announced him has 5'7" 120lbs - that's a pretty huge gap

Edit - EP has him at 5'7" 130lbs

You'll like the Southern Tier RD Prokopetz. He was a rock for his team. A very smart mobile shut down PK/late game specialist also used on the 2nd PP. The dominant 1st unit was prolly 85% TOI. Has a lean frame now but comes from very sturdy stock. I think he has offensive upside that was sacrificed to shore up a very offensive team with spotty goaltending. I'm not related at all but have watched him since novice. I've always loved his game. Thinking fan's dman.

This is the problem that going all-in creates. This team is going to be low on talent this year again, When it is not a deep draft by the time you get to late 3rd round there is not much left to pick. Hopefully you have guys to play with wright. Looking awful weak on defence though

I've said it before, but I'm surprised they didn't go defense first, then find depth at forward. Ludwinski seems really high end, Poole looks like a guy with solid middle 6 potential, and if they can somehow pull Hutson in that'd be a really nice pull.

I'm hoping for an OA defense or 2, maybe even go for one with their import pick if they can get someone high end to report, they can replace Pinchuk.

Budnick seems like he's reporting, they signed Costantino from last year's draft, so they'll be raw, but I think they'll be good enough offensively to stay afloat.

Ludwinski and Budnick are great picks and should be studs.

Poole and Stewart went too high. Should have gone for more skill. Their skating will be exposed in the OHL. You could have picked those type of players with 5th or 6th rounds. JMO

Looking at the lineup that is on the roster page you guys look like you have a lot of returning players.

I take it you are still a building team. It will be interesting to see how they look and do you have a goalie that can be the main guy?

I think they're building for a big run in 21-22, Wright's last year. They should be a solid team next year, I'm hoping they can fight for 2nd in the East. Goalie-wise, Dugas would be an OA in 21-22, and he's shown flashes of brilliance but I've noticed he seems to get frustrated really easily and then his play tanks for the rest of the game. If they can build a solid D core to give him some support I could see them sticking with Dugas.

My predictions for their roster (assuming Chromiak stays in NA):
F:
Martin Chromiak - Shane Wright - Zayde Wisdom
Nick Wong - Jordan Frasca - Dawson Baker (OA)
Maddox Callens - Paul Ludwinski - Francesco Arcuri
Owen Watson - Vitali Pinchuk - Nathan Poole
Kallaway Mercer, Lucas Rowe

D:
Jake Murray-OA Defenseman
Braden Hache-Evan Brand
Evan Ritchie-Chase Costantino
Tommy Budnick

G:
Ryan Dugas
Aidan Spooner

Comments - other than the first, lines are subject to change
things could change in with the import draft, if they get a D-man to report, then I'd see Pinchuk being gone
I'm still missing an OA, not sure who I'd take out, maybe take out Brand for another D-man

Additions: Ludwinski, Watson, Poole, OA DMan, Costantino, Budnick

Subtractions: Brahaney, King, Propp, Peric, Drewitt, Hutton, Martin, Pringle

Anyone else have thoughts on this? I didn't realize how tough roster predicting was.

I count 5 16 year olds I believe, gotta get down to 4. Could really use another vet forward up front too, not sure where that would come from though. I figure they need to trade for 2 dmen and 1 more forward, and that doesn’t include if they move on from pinchuk. It’ll be interesting in any case.
