Ghost is getting 16:43 at ES and 2:34 on the PP in Arizona.

Last season he averaged 17:08 at ES and 2:41 on the PP.

It was actually working, so I'm not sure why he was removed.

Did the change happen after Ellis was injured?

The change happened well after the Ellis injury and out of no other reason than the sheer incompetence of AV/Therrien.

Honestly the only thing I can think of is maybe they wanted to see if it would get Provy's offense going? But the only reason his offense isn't going is the same reason the rest of the defense can't contribute offense....they are 5 miles away from the forwards on the transition.

oh theres no question he signed with the intention of making his ironman record, no matter how worn down he gets, AV will play him every game

the results on the team be damned

No doubt, that and his PP skills will be his legacy.

As pointed out below, he's a glue guy who likely has helped Kevin Hayes through this difficult time and he helps keep the room light.

FLA fans just felt his Ironman streak was more important to him then getting benched or scratched like other big names had suffered during Q's time.

Wish him all the best but he was severely overpaid at $6+ mil, at his current AAV, he's a luxury.

The $6M is probably why he was willing to take a one year deal at $900K, at this point the combination of a starting job and being with friends on a contending team meant more than money.

Though it won't surprise me if York or Zamula bench him for the playoffs if they develop fast enough.

Mark Friedman.

Actually, I just checked and he's like +10 relxGF% as a Penguin. So, yeah, no one.
That should’ve been obvious…

Friedman got claimed on waivers. Someone wanted him.

Yandle would look better with Braun rather than Seller at RHD. He needs to be sheltered and protected, which they knew.

No one has done anything on the PP since October.

In November, Provorov has 3 PP points in 27:00
Giroux has 2 in 34:37
Konecny has 1 in 28:09
Brassard has 1 in 21:29
Hayes has 1 in 4:59
Ellis has 1 in 2:29

NHL Stats

Yandle has 0 in 26:30, and he is supposed to be a PP specialist. If he isn't helping the powerplay, why is he even playing apart from a stupid streak.

It's tough to watch. Somehow his skating looks worse every game. Everyone loses foot speed eventually but he can't even stay on balance and it saps the few skills he does have left. The game is just moving entirely too fast for him.

AV is just enough of a dickhead that he may pull the plug before the record. I thought Corey Perry was going to put the final nail in the coffin on that dangle and post rush.

Two absolute howlers from KY tonight. Stripped himself of the puck coming from behind the net, and then went out to the circle for no reason and left Perry all alone for his goal.
