You should try to watch more rookies. They're exciting.
Maybe you should stop watching rookies. This way you can gauge big dollar player accordingly

I think the Rangers knew what they wanted when they got Yandle. My guess is they got that thing they wanted. Similar to Boyle, the thought was that some offensive push and contribution from the back end is what would tip things in the Rangers favour.
Not to say they have to get rid of him, but where does his contribution to cost (commonly known as value) slot now. Certainly it does not fit in the same slot as it did when he was acquired, and McIlrath and Skjei were just blips on the horizon.
Please elaborate.
His career playoff points per game is higher than his regular season mark.It doesn't take much explanation.
I feel you're completely overvaluing Yandle's worth based on his regular season point total and not looking at the rest of his game which is completely non-existent.

Yeah, it's a phrase used by those who make dumb decisions based on small samples.31
With all due respect but have you ever heard the phrase "What have you done for me lately?"
He scored the tying goal in their only win.
Agreed and I'm not completely opposed to bringing him back but it has to be for a reasonable cap hit and there absolutely has to be a stalwart of a partner already in place before I'd even consider.

Sounds exactly like the type of decision you're hoping the NYR make
"What have you done for me lately?" - Peter Chiarelli re: Tyler Seguin
He also had one goal in 22 playoff games. Do you think it was a good idea to trade him because what harf you done for me lately?Seguin got traded because of his attitude at the time so what's your point?

If you cannot move two of Girardi, Staal & Nash and take no salary back, you cannot afford him even at $6.
OK 1 point this post season. Let's throw 7m/7 yrs at him

He's got a single point and is a -4 in 5 playoff games this year. That in itself is disgusting plain and simple
He's got 31 points and a +2 in 51 games which is very average for an offensive dman
Please tell me what he has done that has you so impressed in big game situations?

It's incredibly shortsighted to make a decision on a player based on a single postseason series, particularly when the vast majority of the team was invisible. Honestly using a five game sample to reach a conclusion about anything is ridiculous.
I'm not really ready to even think about this team moving forward and don't have an opinion on Yandle at the moment, but I saw this post and felt compelled to comment.
31 points in 51 games, when the playoffs are actually lower scoring than the regular season is average.
U wot m8?
