Huby 516 games, 143 goalsand better at scoring goals (career high totals).
I'm not arguing who is the better goal scorer because they're about the same but do you understand what "career high" means and how it's different from career total?Huby 516 games, 143 goals
Couturier 628 games, 147 goals
It's laughable how slanted your arguments are. You literally tried to say that Couturier is a better goal scorer because he has scored 4 more goals in 112 more games played. Did you really think nobody would take the 5 seconds required to look it up?

So the elite playmaker has less goals on his career high but way more assists, what a concept. That point is fair. Mine is more toward the fact that Couturier has had a career high of 33 goals, with a second season with 31 goals. Huberdeau's career high is 30.

Yeah I’m not going to waste my time lol. Literally one player is a super star offensive dynamo and the other is a great player. So continuing....please explain what else makes him better than Couturier? He has more assists. Ok cool. But does, just about nothing else better.

When you’re on pace to outscore someone else by 30+ points then yeah I’m going to take that player every time. I’d complain about points too if I wanted to try and say my 70 point player is better than a potential 100 point player.Ok so yet again, all Panthers fans talk about it point totals. But nothing else.

Right, but my counterargument to that is that Couturier is on pace to win the Selke Trophy this season (while being top 10 on 4 other occasions). So while Huberdeau is better offensively, what Couturier does defensively more than makes up the gap.
Couturier is better than both currently.. he's hands down the best defensive player in the league and puts up nearly a PPG pace the last 3 years and is about to put up his 3rd straight year of 30+ goals. Huberdeau isn't close buddy.
One dimensional winger vs PPG selke center. Is he though? Couturier is on pace for 21 goals and 70pts right now.
You predicting Couts will score 17 goals in the final 32 games for PHI, barring injury?
Huberdeau is actually on pace for his 2nd straight season of 30 goals and pacing 109 pts.
This always comes up and it isn't the point. So powerplay goals dont count on the scoreboard?
Has he ever been PPG or won a selke though? This poll is about Couturier. One dimensional winger vs PPG selke center.
Easy choice.
trying way too hard again. One dimensional winger vs PPG selke center.
Easy choice.
You realize that a 30-35 point gap is massive right? Most NHLers don't put up 35 points in a season...Hey check it out. Huberdeau has less than 20 points more than Couturier, and is pacing to score less than 35 more than him. Plus talking about pace, Couturier is pacing to be the Selke Trophy winner. As he was the mid-season award winner.

there are 550 active roster slots in the nhl. so that would mean most of the NHL is NOT on pace for 35 points. As always, your arguments are disingenuous at best. The point is, a lot of Panthers fans pointed out the point pace gap was over 40 points a week and a half ago. It's now shrunk to 33/34 points and will continue to shrink as Couturier outscores Huberdeau (as he has since 2020 began).
Also approximately 220 NHL players are pacing for 35 points this season.
