I thought going into last night he hadn't been playing very well, but I guess most weren't/aren't during a 5 game losing streak.

Him and Edmundson were very good last night. Very active.

This team tends to go as Jeff Petry goes...

He creates a lot of offense with his skating ability, gaining the zone etc and causes the opposition to lose ''their'' man thus freeing up tangible lanes and open men. When he was injured, not that the Habs ever said anything, but it was obvious by how little he implicated himself.

You guys think he gets a chance for the Norris in this short season?

I don’t think they can ignore him if he keeps producing like this though people will point to the fact he doesn’t lead the team in TOI. It would be funny if he won as that would make it two Habs winning the Norris in shortened seasons.

The first pair needs a guy with his mobility. That's what we're really lacking still, puck movement from the backend. Would take off some pressure from Weber, who's basically a #3 guy at this point in his career.

Petry is having a stellar season. MacT dumb for letting him walk. What's the general thinking on his upcoming contract? 6M? 7M?
