Boeser is a superior player and I doubt Benning would be stupid enough to make that deal.

Is he though? Last 3 seasons per 60 at 5v5

They look pretty close to me....certainly wouldn't say Boeser is "superior" to DeBrusk

I was actually going to suggest DeBrusk and Lauzon. It stings, but so it should and Boeser would fit here like a glove.

However, see above post...

Would be an over-payment, no? I mean per my post above, DeBrusk per/60 is as good as Boeser has been over the last 3 years.

DeBrusk do much better playing with Coyle, Kase, Studnicka who play all over the offensive zone causing DeBrusk to be more focused/engaged

his third period reminded me of Tyler Seguin’s style of game

Doesn't utilize his size and doesn't see the ice well. I'm ready to move on.
I don't if I'm ready to move on without a credible replacement on a line that is already saddled with a RW who can't score. I 100 percent agree that Jake doesn't use his size as well as he should, and his lack of seeing the ice well drives me nuts.

He's a very odd player. His game is almost entirely based around his speed and acceleration to loose pucks, and he has good touch around the net. He's also a very inconsistent player in terms of getting up for certain games but not others. Every other aspect of the game he struggles at though. I think he can be effective in the right situation as a 2nd line winger, but this certainly isn't the spot for it playing with Krejci and whichever plug they're putting in on the right side.

Yup

Coyle does what Coyle does almost independent of his wingers - Coyle can drive a line with puck possession

I Make Krejci my Islanders version of Pageau - third line and on first PP

I want to clarify.

I want to keep him. But not at a high AAV.

And obviously if he’s moved, it would need to be for a legit top 6. Which will cost him + some pieces

I don’t think he’s going anywhere though.
