I remember when Toews was at Bridgeport we'd be talking him up as a solid prospect that should have already been playing in the NHL since he was older than the typical college kid when he left school. The feeling was based on how he played the game more than anything else and the scouting report was also pretty much an all-around talent that didn't wow you but was very effective.

I'm getting a lot of Deja Vu listening and reading about Salo and his progress.

Didn't someone on this board go to Quinnipiac? They were all over Toews.

Congrats to Cole Coskey on his first AHL goal.

Some notes:
- OHL likely will not have a season at all
- WHL potentially to return to play in February and have a super short season ~20 games.

+ = on IR or just hurt

great news!

i don't think we will turf anyone. after losing the Chuck and Toews last summer, and maybe losing Leddy soon, we need the depth.

would be happy if he just came over and practiced with the team, and got ready for next year, when we probably don't have Greene anymore. still, nice to have him aboard. hell, with Aho hurt, we see him even sooner?

who else do we have on the left hand side? MVS? is he able?

maybe LL can swing a small deal? one of our dozens of LW's, for an old, grizzled vet?

I don’t think Andy Greene is struggling at all. He’s had 1 poor game by my count, the 6-3 loss to the Capitals.

I don't continuously watch Greene on the ice, but based on a handful of advanced stats, he is typically in the Bailey, Ross and Timashov grouping as the least effective Islanders, while also far and away the worst Isles defenseman.
