I value other guys more.
I wouldn’t take him before McDavid or Hedman. I wouldn’t take him over centres with similar offensive production or strong 2way games like Drai, Mackinnon, Barkov, Crosby or Matthews. I go back and forth on if I would take him over an elite goalie like Vasi or Hellebuck.

In that scenario I have him in the 7-10 range. In the conversation for the best winger in the game. Probably even leading the conversation for the best winger in the game. But not in the top 5 overall.

If you have watched any ranger game you would immediately notice the kind of impact he has. The rangers go where Panarin goes. Not to mention he is a puck hound. If you think Barkov has the same kind of impact then you are smoking something.
