Sorry for me absolutely no.
Interest for Perry...I think.enough with the geriatrics.
The guy can't skate anymore
And imo we need to rejuvenate
At center and a good rwinger would be good.
All this talk of backes. Buy him.out ..get rid not him.in any way but make sure he's not back next year. That would be an insult to the bruins nation
what I like about perry… hes not 35 yet so we dont get stuck with his contract. give him a elc type guarantee... around a million... and hey, if he doesnt pan out we bury him in minors... he goes away... easy peasy
but... what if he bounces back? what if he can pop us 20 goals and provide some snarly protection for debrusk? krejci is not a speedster himself... having a slow winger isnt the worst thing ever.
perry has cup winning pedigree... and theres a chance he wants to go out in a blaze of glory... theres a chance he could find a new motivation on our team that was one healthy scorer away from a cup win last year.
ultimately we are sitting pretty... we got Bjork knocking at the door if perry falters. we got senyshyn not too far down the pipeline... we got kuhlman that can play rw or center... we got coyle that might end up on rw in a kid center makes the team... we probably got backes around
im not saying all of our plans would rest with perry… but I am saying im in favor of giving him a chance. if it works we got a huge upgrade. if it didnt work, we waive him off to wherever
would he accept a bonus contract with a minimum guarantee and no trade protection?
for me... I make that phone call and ask him how he feels about trying his luck here next year and tell him the second line job is there for the taking
