This year seems to have been a turning point in the fanbase, at least from how I hear the guys talk at work. Especially with the Sabres starting strong and then returning to their usual ways and looking like another year outside of the playoffs.
The rebuild was supposed to be over already and it looks more like another one is needed since their neither good nor do they have any real top end talent coming through the pipeline that isn't already in the NHL (Eichel and Dhalin)
Yea, it sucks. New owners, pegging Murray as the GM then he went and traded away all those draft picks and prospects for Kane, ROR and so on. It really has been a drag. But, then again, the bankruptcy was horrible back in 2000 and even before then, the mid to late 80's were rough. It is what it is I reckon. But I cut my teeth, literally, on the French Connection, I actually wore Danny Gare's skates when I played for the Wheatfield Blades and the St. Catherine (Ontario) Tigers back when I was a young to mid teen. I just love hockey, and the Sabres are the hand I was dealt by way of my mum's breading habbits lol. As I said, it is what it is.
