in what f***ing world is montreal getting that many votes

Jake DeBrusk - Auston Matthews - Pavel Buchnevich
Nikolaj Ehlers - Logan Couture - Patric Hornqvist
Liam Foudy - Travis Zajac - Kyle Palmieri
Kyle Clifford - Johan Larsson - Ryan Reaves

Hampus Lindholm - Josh Manson
Jakob Chychrun - Shayne Gostisbehere
Christian Djoos - Tim Heed

MacKenzie Blackwood
Henrik Lundqvist

first line is great
second line is good, but has two slow players on it
third line is fine
but that fourth line is just getting shellacked every time they're out. one of the worst fourth lines in the entire thing. "but they're physical"

manson shat the bed the last season and was middling at best the season previous
gostisbehere has been nowhere near a top four player the past two seasons
djoos is crap, heed is crap

only part i disagree with is your hate for the 4th line.

Larsson is an absolute beast and can carry that line easy.

I do think the voting for the most part with Montreal/Washington proves that defense just isn't looked at as much as it should be. With that being said Montreal is a playoff team, and I think Washington was undervalued but that is probably division related too.

Larsson is great if you want to prevent shots on net, but awful if you want to generate shots on net. If he's playing with two physical monsters, then all that line is doing is getting outshot while throwing hits.

I admit I find it quite funny I came 2nd in the division to a guy who didn't even think his own team was in the top 3

What I've learned: use your first nine rounds of picks on forwards, then your 10th and 11th, and finally your 12th. Take your starter after that, then it's time to finally take... your backup goalie. At that point, use the rest of your picks on D, but make sure they don't actually play defense. That's the winning formula right there.

I love docs

I hate excel

What in the actual #REF?

That is excruciatingly accurate until you realize Hampus Lindholm, Matt Murray and Charlie McAvoy have been on the most winning teams. It's more don't stack your D.

I can't work excel

I think I agree with most - my Rangers D was not so grand so I get them missing.

There are 2-3 teams though I don't quite get.

The McDavid team I thought would be higher.
