    I just realized that my team scoring system can't adjust for players who didn't play in the NHL last season. The only workaround is to use comparables, which is not an objective method.

    Yeah I was wondering how you'd do that. Give them an average weighting value for their draft position?

    @hockeynorth Mete is gone

    Just kidding! Panda ghost edited him out after taking him earlier and I had him crossed off my list.

    I would have gotten away with it too but people liked my Sam Steel post in the wrong thread. :(

    yeah Panda had Mete and edited to Steel

    Happened earlier too with someone else and Fabbri but I forget who, OB5 ended up taking him. Another ghost edit also happened earlier in the game but I won't out that poster as nobody else noticed. This one I just happened to have already crossed someone off my list.

    I mean it’s understandable since the list isn’t always up to date. If that’s the case then anyone can edit their picks until they are on the board.

    There’s no reason to be sorry. We all have lives and it’s definitely a lot to run one of these, especially by yourself. It wasn’t a jab at you since I’ve run drafts before and not updated the board regularly.

    I'm just crossing my own names off whenever I can

    I've got ~ 212 names left and we have ~ 160 picks left

    Trade!

    :habs Receives Travis Zajac + Pick 531

    :ducks2
    Receives Radek Faksa + Pick 598

    @Llamamoto to confirm.

    I'm re-uniting Kyle Palmieri with a former centerman of his. Up until the Devils drafted Nico Hischier, Travis Zajac was Palmieri's most common linemate. The pick upgrade makes the extra cap worth it. I'm loving the look of my team right now:

    :habs

    Jake DeBrusk - Auston Matthews - Pavel Buchnevich
    Nikolaj Ehlers
    - Logan Couture - Patric Hornqvist

    XXXXX - Travis Zajac - Kyle Palmieri

    Hampus Lindholm - Josh Manson
    Jakob Chychrun
    - Shayne Gostisbehere

    2020 score:
    Zajac: -0.4
    Faksa: -0.4

    Factor in age curve, and Faksa wins.

    Sure, and that's why I initially took Faksa ahead of Zajac. But between Zajac's proven chemistry with Palmieri and the pick upgrade I received, I think the deal was worth it.

    Palmieri: 0.8
    20th: -1.2

    Jenner: -0.2
    Kunin: -0.2

    Trade is a tie on surface. I would argue that whoever has Palmieri wins, though, after we weigh their likely ice time.

    How should I set up my D for Anaheim?

    Shea Theodore (5.200) - Jared Spurgeon (7.575)
    Adam Larsson (4.167) - Brandon Carlo (2.850)
    Victor Mete (0.735) - Matt Benning (1.000)

    I'm considering switching Spurgeon with Carlo, it'll put a puck-mover and a shutdown guy on each pairing.
