After losing on the Kovalchuk sweepstakes in 2010, Dean settled with getting Ponokoriski and the biggest thing I remember him doing was scoring a goal and dropping to his knees in relief as he was on some crazy long scoreless drought.

There's a former Kings defenseman that hasn't been named in this thread yet.

This Dman only played two half-seasons for L.A., but after he left he went on to be one of the best KHL defenseman ever.

Anybody know who he is?

From my first season, Larry Robinson and John Tonelli.

I think Robins0n scored more goals into the Kings net with pucks bouncing in off his butt that into the opponents' net.

Wasn't the issue that DL wouldn't commit just yet, needed more time. SJ offered a take or leave it type deal. That was my memory of it.

The one thing I remember about him, was a game up in SJ where he absolutely stood on his head and won the game for the Kings: Brown scores two goals, Aubin stands on head in Kings' 5-2 win over Sharks

Other than that I don't remember a single thing about him.
