So Orlov who shouldn't be playing today because he should have been suspended after yesterday?
Great forecheck by Russia so far
This Russian lineup brings back memories of the old stacked Soviet teams. Damn its good.
Russia will win gold. All their stars playing with fire.
What a point of playing with fire, if it's just 1-0...
You expect to win every game with 5+ goals?
Swiss had tough times first 10 minutes to even cross middle zone.
A little push from the Swiss and they go to the powerplay.
That should be a major, too.
That might be a suspension
Why does Russia have to play dirty in a game they are dominating?
Russia doesn't, it's Zadorov.
Dominance, yet the have to pull off dirty crap like this. Same as yesterday vs LAT.
Zadonov should also have been suspended after his foul yesterday vs. Latvia.
And yesterday it was Orlov.
Kovalchuk was lucky he didn't get a 2 min unsportsmanlike penalty as well. Zadorov could've had a 5 min major and a game misconduct from that penalty, that was so uncalled for. Still a deserved 1-0 lead for Russia.
The Swiss look afraid.
First wave came ... we lose 1-0 ... ok
now 2nd tier ... we'll see how it will play down.
Their is more talent in the Russian team ! no surprise there.
We may still surprise ... nothing is done yet.
It works in their favor though. Playing dirty and aggressively is a great strategy. Puts fear into the opponents.
No need for, they have big bells.
If one team doesn't deserve the title, it's Russia. After yesterday and today. This has no place at a WC. And the IIHF accepts it.
You hate Russia or something?
I've not seen any dirty play by Russia so far...
Switzerland doing good so far!
I wouldn't mind it if they were holding on to the same standards.
But the IIHF commission actually disqualified a Latvian player after a post-game video review.
Russia didn't even get a 2 min penalty for a rougher illegal hit. There should've been 3 disqualifications by now.
I'm not a conspiracy nut, but this is just blatantly unfair and inconsequential.
