Incorrect - he was fine going to Toronto, but he wanted a 2 year contract and Toronto would only offer 1 year.

If he performs well, we intend to re-sign him for another couple of seasons at a fair salary. And we don't think the playoffs are a couple of seasons away - we have some holes to fill, but we think we have the right blend of veteran leadership, youth, and elite skill to make us a competitive team.

I'm just unhappy because I was sure he wouldn't waive to go to Anaheim do I didn't make an offer! :laugh:
