I knew when they started talking about the Bruins record in Ottawa that the Bruins were probably going to lose-weird but seems like every time the sports media talks about a record that it sure enough is going to get broken.

Bruins just stunk-too many mental errors and way too many mistakes. Rask probably had his worst game of the season but I figure Rask will rebound-he hates losing and I think he will be out to prove himself.

Y'all settle down now.
If I were to get upset every time the Bruins laid an egg in a regular season game I'd be throwing more milk crates than Tuukka Rask. I'm assuming this is his go-to method of coping with any sort of anger.
They blew this one. They'll get it together and play better soon. Life goes on.

Bergeron trying to hustle back to get an icing call, thus getting a draw with a fraction of a second left, was probably the hardest any Bruin skated in the last half hour.

I'm serious.

Why can't we just lose normally

Two insane comebacks, Seguin and Peverley shootout winners... that's this year. why do Boston sports do this to my heart
The concern is that this is not a total aberration--they barely got the win last night--should never have had to go to OT against CLB...the defensive lapses were just more visible tonight--but they've been mounting up even during the very successful homestand...hope they can address this weekend in practice--assuming they are going straight to Carolina--or coming home tonight?

You don't have to hook/trip/obstruct a player that isn't skating ;)

That is pretty unbelievable acutally.

Any logical reasons why this would be?

After the first 10 minutes I figured this would be an ass kicking. Turns out I was right.

Partly I think it's due to our style of play, and while I am not a believer in ref conspiracies I find it troubling that refs let a lot of stuff to-like two cross checks and a slash on Marchand. Think there were also a couple of missed trips. And we so should have had a 5 on 3 when Tuukka got run.

It isn't so much that the calls are bad calls (although that call on Iggy was awful) but that they don't make the calls that should be called.

Bruins played a pretty darn good game tonight. Sure they weren't perfect but they played well enough to win on most nights. Pretty impressive performance by Ottawa to overcome the early 2-0 deficit to beat Boston.

The reffing could have been better, but the B's basically screwed themselves with too many mental lapses and turnovers.

sure wish we weren't last in the league in power plays, our PP would probably be better if we got more practice.

Not sure where the stat is found but I wonder what the gap is between the Bruins in 30 and whoever is in 29, as well as 30 to 1.

I get that speedy teams are likely going to draw more penalties but there were about 4 or 5 penalties the Bruins should have drawn but no call.

Hmmm--Bruins played maybe 20-25 minutes of good hockey--they let Ottawa take this one with brutal defensive lapses.
