Giroux is quite possibly the worst player in the NHL

I feel like if we tried to send him to Berlin THEY wouldn't even take him at this point.

But in all seriousness I'd say the lack of a fast start for G is due to a few different things.
1. No time for chemistry to develop. Seriously, Jagr played on the RW with G last season and managed to dance around 1 or two guys on almost every shift it seemed leaving G with 1 defender or 0 defenders to deal with. This combined with Hartsy going down and the revolving door of people on the first line are making G feel like he needs to do it.
2. His European trip, maybe playing in Europe didn't help maybe it hurt. He was obviously amazing in Berlin and maybe he just got to used to dancing around everyone. He had 19 points in 9 games.

Its all funny but now i am starting to get pissed.

Giroux has yet to show any sign of leadership.

Don't worry your playing the Jets next, if Phil Kessel can get a game winning goal here this year here, CG can get a couple points.

I'm sure we'll even spot you a few.

Toronto fans sure love flooding other team's boards when they get a win.

Usually people only flood each others boards during the playoffs and since they have not made it in so long this is all they have...

Hopefully Hartnell coming back will get Giroux going. He is suppose to start skating next week right?

I'm reminded of a song:

Captain Claude Giroux, where are you?
We've got some work to do now.
Captain Claude Giroux, we need some help from you now.
Come on Claude Giroux, I see you.
Pretending you're gonna get hot.
You're not foolin' me 'cause I can see
the way u skate and miss shots.

You know we got a hockey game to play
so Claude Giroux get ready for your act.
Don't hold back.
'Cause Claude Giroux when you come through
You're gonna have yourself a Scooby snack.
That's a fact

Captain Claude Giroux, here are you
You're ready and you're willing(?)
If we can count on you Claude Giroux
I know we'll catch those villains

Should of gave it to kimmo. Remember when guys wore the C who weren't the best player on the team? It obviously puts pressure on you to perform on the scoresheet

This is Claude Giroux to Flyers coach, I'm streaking down the wing
And I toss a weak-ass wrister at the net
And now I'm floating in a most peculiar way
Fifteen passes and no shots on our power play

This is Flyers coach to Claude Giroux
We're down 14 to 2 and it looks like we don't really have a clue
Can you lead us, Claude Giroux?
Can you lead us, Claude Giroux?
Can you leeeeeead us?

I'm pretty convinced now that the "C" in this town stands for cursed......somebody tainted it for all eternity and I'm trying to figure out who put the curse on it....maybe it was Lindros?

I think Homer reeeeeeally underestimated the chemistry between G and Jagr, and he didn't help things by trading the other winger who worked really well with Giroux (JVR).

Maybe Hartnell will help a lot, I don't know. I think his game is one that really complement's Giroux's, but it's far different than the game that JVR and Jagr bring.
