ericsson should play top 9.

i like this checkingline more: pettersson - lundqvist - ullström

ullström have been good in eht and has 11 points in 23 games with leva prag.

Yes, that'll work too.

Shame that MÃ¥rtensson seems to be done with the NT, I liked him.

Wouldnt mind to see Linus Klasen in this. I think he could maybe one more shot at the NHL, and if he do well here...

24 goals.. Hersley should make this team..

Different animal. Needs to show he can score with the higher pace and defend at a respectable level in the WC camp(s).

We have many SHL scorers who can't score internationally.

He didn't get any PP time last EHT, not that much ice time either.

When is the next EHT?

Marts seems to like to ignore swedish players who are performing well in the KHL.

We don't have many of those..

Mårts said earlier in the season that Tellqvist could contend for a spot. But we'll be able to choose from Enroth and likely at least two of Läck, Lehner and Gustavsson. Plus standout Ullmark at home so I doubt we'll need Tellqvist.

Henrik Karlsson? In 6 games in EHT he is 1.40 and .959. In KHL he has 2.18 and .917.

Think MÃ¥rts will go for the younger players this time, I believe:

Bäckström won't go and doesn't want to, either... Enström, feels like he's out too. And one or two of the Sedins will lick their wounds after a spoilt season, or? So... Btw, doesn´t our defense look good?

- Hey, Hen! Look what I got! An olympic silver medal!! Nananananana! - Just you wait and see!

Klas̩n - Sedin РZibanejad
Johansson РBacklund РH̦rnqvist
Hjalmarsson – Karlsson – Arlbrandt
Axelsson – Persson – Ericsson
Larsson – Lundqvist - Pettersson

Edler – Karlsson
Ekman-Larsson – Tallinder
Ekholm – Kronwall
Viklund – Klingberg
Rahimi – Fälth / Fransson

Enroth / Läck
Markström / Lehner
Karlsson

And possibly one or two of these:

Lindström (LW/RW) Skellefteå 54 22 40 62 1.15 70 15
Omark (LW/RW) Luleå 4 1 3 4 1.00 0 0
Möller (LW/RW) Skellefteå 47 27 18 45 0.96 12 14
Nygren (D) Färjestad 24 11 8 19 0.79 8 5
Arvidsson (LW/RW) Skellefteå 49 16 22 38 0.78 59 3
Rasmussen (C/LW) Växjö Lakers 52 16 24 40 0.77 20 6
Rödin (RW/LW) Brynäs 46 11 23 34 0.74 36 -11
Sjögren (C) Linköping 53 6 29 35 0.66 44 7
Kahnberg (RW) Frölunda 54 18 14 32 0.59 22 6
Per Åslund (LW/RW) Färjestad 54 10 17 27 0.50 46 4
Sebastian Erixon (D) Växjö Lakers 49 7 15 22 0.45 55 2
Adam Larsson
Jacob Josefsson

http://www.eliteprospects.com/player_nationalities_in_league.php?LeagueID=KHL&NationID=1 plus Wandell.

It's not a lot but some of them should play on NT more often.

I'm quite sure the goaltender will be Enroth, Buffalo is surely out of the playoffs. He was tremendous last year.

Well the two guys who've proved themselves internationally there are Kronwall and Mårtensson. Kronwall was the captain last year and Mårtensson has retired. Andersén has been a regular this year, Thörnberg is usually a regular when healthy and Viklund is Mårts' baby boy.

Most of the forwards on that list have been on the national team plenty of times with varying success. Speaking generally, they were good but not dominant SHL players, or recently came home from failed tenures in NA and went straight to Russia. Videll, Gynge and Bergfors don't have what it takes to be WCH top6 players. They're certainly around but not above the level of SHL forwards like Arlbrant, Möller and Klasen. Zackrisson, Ullström and Engqvist are probably more interesting because of their ability to be strong checkers.

But long story short, there are no unknowns in the KHL that we haven't tried out or aren't on the team regularly.

Henrik Karlsson? In 6 games in EHT he is 1.40 and .959. In KHL he has 2.18 and .917.

Suppose he's in the running. I prefer Ullmark for the 3rd goalie spot though if it comes to that, nice experience.

Thanks for the information, but how come Bergfors and Videll almost or never got a chance in the EHT in the last years even if they have good stats and skills. Bergfors was two years ago and Videll five years.

Johan Fransson (D) Luleå 37 5 10 15 0.41 20 11

Please no... IMO Omark needs to be left alone for a year or so and then be revisited.

I know people are throwing around blame but at the same time he didn't manage to take a place in Buffalo... And since he came to Lulea they are in free fall and honestly they were lucky that the SHL ended when it did. 1 or 2 more rounds and they would have been forced to play qualification games to enter the playoffs...

Blame whatever or whoever but he seems to be cursed right now and I don't want to see him around our national team.

Järnkrok - Lindholm - Forsberg?
We need centers so why not? Subtract a few players below for this to happen.

Klasén - Sedin – Zibanejad
Johansson – Backlund – Hörnqvist
Hjalmarsson – Karlsson – Arlbrandt
Axelsson – "Prince Lumquest" - Persson - Pettersson
Forsberg - Järnkrok - Ericsson

Edler – Karlsson
Ekman-Larsson – Adam Larsson
Viklund – Kronwall
Rahimi – Klingberg

Enroth
Läck
Karlsson

I think we could do without the bolded players, not a huge fan och Klasen, Axelsson and Arlbrandt, id rather see some new players. Would Sedin want to come? Will VAN let him?

Bergfors- Backlund - Zibanejad
Hjalmarsson - Karlsson - Möller
Järnkrok - Lindholm - Forsberg
Ericsson - Lundqvist - Persson
Pettersson
Klasen/Arlbrandt/Axelsson

Looking at the current NHL-standnings, we COULD have a dream team.

Sedin - Sedin - Alfredsson
Franzen - Zetterberg - Nyqvist
Johansson - Backstrom - Backlund
Zibanejad - Lindholm - Hornqvist

Karlsson - OEL
Enstrom - Edler
Kronwall - Ericsson

How many of those does really want to play. Zetterberg should nurse is back. Sedins has been injured and Alfie is old. Bäckis. I don't know how he thinks here. I guess his a bit happier now with the silver medal.

I would like to see a young for-the-future squad.
