I think Anton Rödin should be on the team, the kid is rocking in SHL, great speed and a good shot!

He must prove more in EHT. He looked ok in Karjala but that is not enough. If he keep playing strong in SHL he should have a shot at Oddset Hockey Games.

Oh, im bored as hell right now, just had a little cute tought in my head how an allstar-allsvenskan team would do in World Championship. Its a pretty strong leauge..

I often find myself hoping that an F-team of ours would play ultra defensive against Belarus and Switzerland.

Jimmie Ericsson and Enroth are locks at this point. Everything else is up in the air.

tournamnt of revence? will olympic players accepted invites?

A couple of guys who were on the 2006 team returned for the World Championships that same year. As usual everything depends on which teams miss the playoffs.

Right now. I'm thinking Wennberg will finish the season strong and get in contention with someone like William Karlsson. There's a lack of good Swedish playmaking centers in Europe. You're mentioning a lot of wingers. Nilsson, Bergfors? Haven't played on the NT for years. Arvidsson is way less well-rounded than Wennberg, I don't see his game translating to the WC very well.

Nilsson is awesome in NLA. Bergfors is having a good season in KHL. They should be tested again. Arvidsson is a good checker.

I like Karlsson more than Wennberg, he is more gritty.

But I hope Wennberg get tested in EHT or some test games.

Do you think Andreas Johnson have a chance?

The national team usually gives one or two young players a shot as an investment in the future, I could see Wennberg or Karlsson being those this time.

Would much rather give young players who might become stars in the future some national team experience than waste spots on some decidedly average players who will never get better.

Andreas Engqvist has been sharp in KHL and has scored 2 goals in 3 games in EHT, he has also participated to wc in 2010.

He could certainly play with Sweden.

I wonder if there will be bigger emphasis on big, skilled players who can skate and defend well after the Canada victory at the Olympics. On defense we are both skilled and big for a decade or so. And three centers weigh in on nearly 100 kg, Bäckström, Berglund and Söderberg. Steen, Landeskog and Zetterberg are prima meat balls as well.

Comparison if Sweden used bigger, heavier players.

I wonder if there will be bigger emphasis on big, skilled players who can skate and defend well after the Canada victory at the Olympics.

That's the difference between Canada and everyone else. They have elite players in any size and position to choose from. We can't be picky about that, we need to pick our best players and go from there. A few of them happen to be big like Edler, but they're few.

Have a feeling we will have a pretty weak team on paper this year. There'll be no's from olympians, and the location isn't that good. Should be able to get Backlund, Johan Larsson and a few guys like that at least. Enroth again, why not?

Im guessing Tallinder would wanna come no? He seems to enjoy being on the NT.

Jimmie Ericsson and Enroth are locks at this point. Everything else is up in the air.

Well, Enroth is having a poor season for a struggling NHL team, his form is very difficult to judge right now, I do have my doubts though.

Considering old merits he stand a good chance, of course.

>I'm really hoping for Omark, he has to prove himself first though.
