Man I still want more Gangsta so bad.

Thought I would check out how the manga was doing but the author has health issues and it's been going really slow. No new volume in almost 2 years. There's a spin-off manga too slowly coming along.

anyone who's a Gantz fan, Gantz:O is on netflix now.

What an amazing job that they did with the CG. Captured the tone of the Osaka arc perfectly...and pretty much what I expected out of the anime and the live-action movie, but left way disappointed.

They kind of just jump in to the arc, so for first time viewers, they'll be confused for most of the movie. It's definitely for existing fans, but I think even casual viewers can appreciate the concept, action, and violence in this one.

I hope we get a sequel out of this but for sure the Osaka arc was the best one...I doubt they could do a whole Katastrophe movie without it being a 2-3 parter.

This Water 7 saga has been great so far. I'm mostly loving it but Idk, sometimes I feel that they're slacking with their animation. It is not a big thing tho and won't obviously turn me away.

Sometimes it can look so good and other times it's just like 'That's not Nami at all wtf'

Series that long are usually heavily outsourced and have several different teams working on it on an episode by episode basis.

With that series there should be no excuses though, it's broken records and they should be making it sure it looks great every episode. At least these days for sure. Back then I could maybe understand but still

Even if they threw away their Precure empire, there probably aren't enough talented animators at Toei to make every episode of One Piece high quality on reasonable deadlines.

the anime industry isn't exactly blooming in talents. animators are mostly overworked and underpaid. anime studios have this weird business model of making everybody but themselves flourish financially.

Yeah I know about the industry, it really sucks. With how well OP is all across the boards you think they'd take care of their people more.

Not getting enough talent and not paying them enough. Sucks.

I think there's reason to believe that Toei doesn't make enough money from OP or even DB Super. I've listened to a producer from Sunrise at a Convention panel and he said that anime adaptations are financially considered low-risk low-reward because most of the money generated is given back to the source material publishers, creator and other investors. Precure is probably where Toei makes their money

I know next to nothing about the industry itself, but I am a little disappointed because the series is so popular, I'd imagine they made everything top notch.

That being said, it is super long series and it is no wonder animation like that happen sometimes. And, I'm still loving it. Just passing what I noticed.

Saw this somewhere and had to post it here.

Based on the picture I just finished One Punch Man from the main series to the six specials. Love every second of it. The parody of it was just magical and everything from the characters to the setting was perfectly displayed. Even with that said, it seems that this is the type of anime which would not have succeeded if it wasn't in Madhouse's hands. You can definitely see their passion in the shows they make; so consistent, so well-done, such great pace, amazing voice actors, and finally fantastic animation sequences. Gotta be the best ("show') animation studio in the world right now.

Just watched Berserk original series, a pretty messed up ending but on a scale of 1 to 10 its an easy 0 because of how it just cut off like that without any of the aftermath

The 3rd movie covers it but anyways

Its an okay series but it drags a bit despite it being only 25 episodes.

Honestly just watch the movies, the animation is not for everyone but it has slightly better pacing. But keep in mind the movies are basically every bit as graphic as the manga, which is definitely x rated. Apparenlty the author before he did berserk did a bunch of tentacle porn.

Been watching a bit of anime here and there.
Watched 91 Days, and thought it was pretty solid, and I have watched the first 3 episodes of The Heroic Legend of Arslan

You Name (Kimi No Na Wa) airing in North America in two weeks! Very hyped about this, always been a Makoto Shinkai fan; without taking anything away form Miyazaki, I always prefer Shinkai's work over.
