That is probably the worst non-head injury in sports. Can play through it in ~6-7 weeks, but takes months beyond that to get 'right.'

If ice conditions are partly responsible for Mikko's injury and others then the league should look into the rinks that are the problem. I am not sure what could be done, but the fact NHL teams are still struggling with ice conditions should be something that is looked at by the owners.

He was crouched because he was reaching. And kinda as I said, I'm sure he didn't plan on twisting his ankle.
