Forbort always gets caved 5v5, that's his whole shtick. In the season as a whole, the bruins have been outshot with him on the ice. But yeah the rest had kinda an off night, I think Monty was doing some experimenting with the way he delpoyed the lines and pairings, so maybe that had something to do with it.
He also beat the snot out of Vesey, so there's that.

Lindholm, Carlo, Clifton and Forbort were caved in 5on5 today. Every one of them allowed more shots than they generated and were outshot a combined 13-33.
Were they high danger shots? who were the forwards on the ice?
Keep in mind Mac and Carlo have been the backbone of Bruins defense for several years.
What D were on the ice for NY goals today?

Ullmark leads every statistical category.
Ullmark's been fantastic, and I don't want to take anything away from that, and he's made huge saves at key times, but some credit also has to go to the Bruins D. When the D is good goalies tend to play bigger and better with more confidence. It's a symbiotic thing. I think it took Ullmark the first season to learn that he wasn't a Sabre any more and he could in fact rely on his D.

To rip off a 10-game winning streak when every team is targeting you is mind boggling

I am happy to say that I was wrong about this team this year. Holy crap they have been phenomenal. I haven't been able to watch them live due to being on the other side of the world, but they have been fantastic when I watch them on the replay. They are one of the few teams in NHL history in the modern era to beat every team that is in the league in one season. Jim Montgomery has figured out how to get this team firing on all cylinders and it is a sight to behold. I'm so happy for this team. I just hope they can keep it going into the playoffs.

The Bruins have to take every team serious. Yes ...the Bruins have improved in every aspect of their game...no questiion. But for some reason I still feel that Carolina is the team to beat to get them where they need to be. Maybe I am wrong ...we shall see. And one more thing....Maybe Carolina didn't have to improve their roster...maybe they felt there was no reason to change the chemistry of their team this year. Anyway I look at this years playoffs.....It should be a whopper of a run. PS.....May the Force be with you....lol

Good shtick he has. Bruins fan but he has a lot of followers, he bitches and moans and calls out everything negative and waits for pissed off callers to fill it in and makes a living off it.

IE...like every other smart person in talk radio who tries to keep hold of an audience.

No, now Felger says they can afford to keep everyone so long as they deal Hall.

Yeah, I love the show but he’s notorious for moving the goalposts to meet his argument.

He’s doing with the Patriots now what he used to do with the Bruins; saying they have enough talent to be a playoff team, and that they’ve under achieved.

He’s not always negative, he’s just the ultimate contrarian & facilitator.

Good shtick he has. Bruins fan but he has a lot of followers, he bitches and moans and calls out everything negative and waits for pissed off callers to fill it in and makes a living off it.

I gave up listening to the radio in my truck for Lent. Not an easy thing to do without, but I don’t miss Felger & Mazz. :)

Not that I listened to them all that much, anyway…

Can't really agree with this. Going from TDA to Burns is a pretty big upgrade in your
top 4. Then Andersen healthy gives them goalie depth. Necas has developed significantly this year also.

For all of you who keep posting that the bruins should fire Sacco because the pp is struggling, here is a quote from Montgomery taken from an article on WEEI:

“We didn’t have a lot of footage, but we saw where they were gonna put Kane,” Montgomery said of his PK. “[Assistant coach] Joe Sacco does a great job with our penalty kill. It’s first in the league because he does a great job with details. We use a lot of players. So it’s a combination of we have a lot of good penalty-killers and we have a real good plan in place by Coach Sacco.”

He runs the pk, which is #1 in the league. Does he run the pp as well? Honest question, as I don’t know. And if he does, even with their struggles as of late they are 7th in the league. So, he orchestrates a league best pk and (possibly) a top 10 pp, and many here post for him to be fired?
