I have noticed this since the early 1980s...no team scores fewer empty net goals to put a team away than the Canucks, and no team gets scored on their empty net to allow the bully to kick sand in their face more than the Canucks. Can you imagine Edmonton erecting a statue of Ted Green for winning a playoff round?

Noooooooo, don't wave off the Ducks' tying goal. We need that three point game.

Anaheim ties it against Edmonton with under a minute left, but it's under review.
If it counts, this is a three point game which tightens things in the west even more.

Gagner with another goal tonight. Spooner? Completely invisible offensively, defensively he gave up at least 3 chances against that I counted directly off his stick or his pass.

Markstrom's stats are worse this season than last season's. ye Pratt keeps bragging about how Ia Clark has made him a legit #1. Is the defense that much worse now?

This defense is trash, Edler/Tanev out hurts as Stetcher/Hutton are carrying the work load.

Gudbranson and Pouliot suck

As painful as it's going to be, the Canucks need losses more than wins right now. If Benning is still on the fence approaching the trade deadline hopefully this awful effort on HNC no less, should push him over the edge.

It's time to dump this ridiculous playoff spin and sell, sell...sell!

Why the hell would they put Boeser in a literally useless area, where he can't use his shot?

Apparently Leivo’s not a good forechecking puck retrieving power forward as advertised but is a shifty playmaker with unbelievable creativity and skill.

Very little to sell since Benning has signed crap players to crap contracts

The amount of turnovers and toe drag attempts he pulled tonight would have Goldobin on waivers right now! No waiting for tomorrow morning. How Horvat and Leivo escape criticism with their poor play lately is amazing.

Another disjointed performance. Just a total mess in the forward group. Team has 1 win in regulation since January 20.

- top line was awful. Pettersson just doesn’t have the swagger of earlier in the year but wasn’t bad. Boeser is just a broken mess and a well-deserved -3. End of the season can’t come soon enough for him. Did Spooner play?

- Goldobin wasn’t bad and was one of the few guys who didn’t suck and looked a bit dangerous. Horvat was decent at ES but you wonder if he should be on the top unit of an NHL PP. Leivo wasn’t bad and this was the best line.

- Gaudette didn’t have his best game but was dragged down by the useless slug that is Markus Granlund. What an awful player.

- Beagle’s play has really fallen off in the last month and he looks his age. Did think Eriksson battled hard tonight even though he still can’t skate.

- Stecher-Hutton pairing again very solid. The goal against them was just unlucky.

- Biega-Pouliot were excellent and should probably have played more. Biega skated miles and joined the play well. Pouliot is playing probably his best hockey ever and actually managing to tread water.

- hopefully scouts watching noticed that Gudbranson was more active in this one and had as many shot attempts as he normally does in a month ... and not the multiple shifts trapped for extended periods in his own zone and -2. Impossible to evaluate Sautner properly next to such a poor partner.

- Markstrom only OK in this one.

This team is hilarious. A few games they had Stecher on the point, with Boeser and EP on the flanks, with Leivo blocking the net. They scored with that formation and looked very dangerous every time. Green must hate offense.

Agree on everything except the goal against Hutton. It wasn't unlucky, he just watched the guy shoot it over Markstrom instead of taking his stick.

Like how Leivo was looking good on the top line so of course let's trade for a plug like Ryan spooner and have him displace Leivo.

But of course everyone who warned against this were just being nay sayers. No way that would actually happen. All hail our Lord and Saviour Jim Benning, master of the eye for talent. Sees things people don't see. Like horrible hockey players.

A shot missed the net by a mile and took a crazy bounce back in front of the net. The Islander saw it first and whacked it into the net from his knees.

Some goals don’t really have a breakdown or the breakdown is very slight and that was one.

It’s so frustrating. You could see this coming from a mile away.

The three players on this team who are actually good at hockey are out of gas and the rest of the roster that Benning has meticulously scouted, signed, traded for and extended looks absolutely atrocious.

Looking like another bottom 4 finish to the season, especially if Edler and Tanev stay out another week or two.
