I feel almost exactly the same way except for the part about the Ducks(?).

Pittsburgh has been gifted numerous unlikable stars and rewarded for tanking. Also, I have no issue with tough play, even if it results in injury, but I’ve never seen a bigger collection of headhunters in my time as a fan as that bunch. I’d even take the Flyers over the Penguins.

In terms of playoff misery, nobody will ever hold a candle to the Canadiens. But as you said, I can grudgingly respect their history and success. The Penguins are an a-hole organization, and the only Penguins I ever respected at all were Lemieux and Jagr. The rest of them can eff off.

Especially that little punk Crosby.
Samuelsson and Cooke are the two pens I hated most.

Lemieux was & is a whiny little shit. Otherwise your post is spot on.
When I was a wee lad, I liked Lemieux better than Wayne Gretzky.

As I got older, not only did I come to realize that Gretzky was a better player than Lemieux, but seemed to me to be a far more likable guy, too.

For the record, Wayne Gretzky is my favorite non-Bruin of all time.

Just for fun, 99 as the best player is not a bad choice, but for me Lemieux is right up there with him.

As for personality, i don’t know them, but for me 99 was and still remain one of NHL most likable player.

As Bruce said in the interview, Pasta is traveling with the team but not sure if he is jumping in the lineup tomorrow.

Interesting to see that they had him on Krejcis line at practice and had JDB still on the top line.

Has Bruce finally seen enough of Krejci/JDB together?

Edit: Wally had a further blip from Cassidy saying he plans to reunite him on the top line. So scratch that lol.

It's a tough decision
Break up the best line in the NHL... but we just saw a rejuvenated Debrusk and could have two first lines if Bruce plays Pastrnak with Krejci and Ritchie.

Devil's advocat here.

So two experiences one personal and another I wasn't there but my colleagues told me about.

1st Lemieux came to the restaurant one night several years ago ( like 20 + years) Super nice, took pictures with everyone bought drinks for the staff, as nice as could be.

Your hero, not so much , was told he was super snob. Didn't even leave a tip!!!

For the record I have it .

This may not be the right place, but I was just looking up Krejci's career numbers. Man, I will be very sad when he's gone from the Bs. Hands down my favorite player alongside Bergy.
If you look at his draft....Ovi went first and Malkin number 2.....Krejci 73........But Krejci is a better player then the 71 in front of him drafted. He should have been 3 over all that year......The MVP of the Bruins since 2010....

Hands down, I'd like to see the Bruins win the cup simply because this core has been historically excellent, and one cup would be a shame. They've had their shots for more, though.

The Pittsburgh Penguins look to carry the momentum from a perfect homestand into a two-game road series against the Boston Bruins beginning Tuesday.

The Penguins have won four straight since dropping their first two contests on the road at the Philadelphia Flyers. Each of Pittsburgh's victories required comebacks, with three extending beyond regulation.

Such was almost the case last time out for the Penguins, but Jake Guentzel scored with 1:31 remaining for a 3-2 win over the New York Rangers on Sunday. The marker was Guentzel's 100th career goal.

"It's nice to just get points, and when you can win in regulation, obviously you're not giving up points to your opponent," Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. "We're in a divisional race here. There's a lot of parity in the division. There's a lot of really good teams. We're trying to win each game right in front of us."

The Bruins are one of those division opponents, and they enter Tuesday's matchup after two straight victories over the Flyers. Boston's offense exploded Saturday in a 6-1 win, with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron each scoring a pair of goals.

"I thought we had a great effort," Marchand said. "Not only this evening, but the last couple games. ... We've continued to build on our game."

The Bruins and Penguins will play eight times during the regular season, including the second matchup of the two-game set at Boston on Thursday. The teams are 6-6 in their last 12 meetings.

For Boston, the key to success lies on the power play, where the team has scored six goals between its three wins this season. The Bruins were 3 for 4 on the man advantage in their most recent win over the Flyers, with Nick Ritchie assisting on two of the tallies.

"He's really good down around the net," Marchand said. "He's strong on pucks and makes really good, quick little plays. I think we're starting to build that chemistry ... it's great to have him there."

Ritchie, acquired midseason from the Anaheim Ducks last year, is third on the team in points at five, behind only Marchand (seven) and Bergeron (six). The 25-year-old's play has been a boon for Boston with the absence of star winger David Pastrnak (hip), who practiced Monday in a regular jersey but is still a stretch to rejoin the team prior to the end of the month.

The Penguins, meanwhile, are monitoring Evan Rodrigues after the forward departed Sunday's win with a lower-body injury sustained on a collision. Rodrigues had played on the top line beside Sidney Crosby and Guentzel; after he was injured, Bryan Rust moved up and scored the team's first goal of the game.

"When we made that change and we put Rusty up there, they had instant success," said Sullivan. "Those guys are familiar with one another."

Pittsburgh is still looking to get Evgeni Malkin going -- the star center has been held to one power-play goal and an assist through his first six games this season.

Not physically no. But I have little respect for a player his size (6'5", 230 pounds) whining about clutching & grabbing. Instead of bitching to the officials he should have bitch slapped anyone who tried it on him. That's what I mean by whiny little shit.
I only own maybe three Bruins jerseys, Krejci was the first one I bought. He's an amazing playmaker, which is a skill that I think gets underrated because it's not as sexy as scoring goals.

I hope he re-signs although I understand why some people would like to move on.

As a Bruins fan I just hope he's 100% when he comes back....as a fantasy hockey manager I need him in the lineup yesterday.

Yeah no need to rush him. Make sure he's fully right to go before they play him. If that takes an extra week or whatever that's fine - I'd prefer that to him risking further injury or playing underdone. Plenty of games for Pasta still to play and find his best form before things get serious.
