A bit lucky. But again. Are those Flames ever bad. How do they have so many points?:D

If Richardson doesn't get hurt he's probably still in the AHL. Richardson saved Tippett from himself. Now the guy is looking like our #1 center next season.

If Richardson didn't get hurt we would have only got one of Holland, Jooris, Burmi.

And at the start of the Dvo wasn't anywhere near is good as he has been lately.

That's not true. He's a bit better defensively and he improved in terms of faceoffs. But that's about it. It's not the player that changed, it's the usage of the player. The team started to play better as soon as Tippett increased Dvorak's icetime, got him better linemates and stopped using him in a defensive role.

Maybe we really are just a player away from a good playoff run next year. That player might be either Wood or DeAngelo to increase back end scoring. I keep focusing on the center position but 20 more points from the D would do it

Dvorak was never been used in a defensive role. He has had one of the highest offensive zone starts out of anyone on the team, that's been the case all season long. And there were games where his icetime was 17-18mins, but he didn't execute. And when it was decreased he wasn't that noticeable.

Lately he has looked a lot more confident and has been executing. He's developed as the season has progressed.

If Hanzal stays we may not need a center. Hanzal, Dvorak, Richardson and Jooris/White/Burmistrov should do it. We are gonna need a winger though...if Vrbata goes we're gonna need two. Fischer could be one of them but we may need another one with scoring touch unless Duclair gets his game back together.

Amazing what confidence and opportunity will do for a young player...

Again, that's not true. His usage changed dramatically and he hardly ever played 16mins until just recently.
You may also missed that he set up lots of chances all season long...his linemates just weren't good enough to score. Had he been playing with Doan and Perlini like players all season long, he'd have 20 assists at least.

Dvorak is legit, folks. Wow.

Lol , love the optimism but seems awfully ambitious. This is potentially the only game all season we have dominated the opponent. the game against TB is the only other one that comes to mind. Also calgary looks terrible right now. So although we look good I wouldnt overreact too much to this game.

He looked great on the second line with 18 minutes one night, and he found himself on the 4th line the next few games before being demoted. After he was recalled he was stapled to Jooris.
We all saw it.

This is just completely inaccurate. He has 54% Ozone starts. His current stretch of big minutes only started about 10 games ago. It would be impossible for 10/50 games to change a player from being mostly used defensively to being used mostly offensively.

And in the first 40 games he had 10 games of 16min+, and 19 of 15min+.

And he's played with Doan a lot this year, that isn't new. Was with Domi for a bit, Duclair for a longtime.

Exactly. He just didn't get the opportunities earlier this season.
Anybody saying that he wasn't good enough at the start of the season is just making something up. Surely, he improved, like most young players do... but it's mainly the usage that changed...not the player.

What about Keller?

What about Keller?

Keller and Strome. Strome could always start in the minors but Keller could start at wing. Also depends on if richardson can come back strong from a rather nasty injury, and I'd imagine that Jooris&Holland are gone after this season (much like Plotnikov&Tikhonov last year)

What about Keller?

And Strome. Strome and Dvo should have two of the spots next season. If Keller was fighting with our first round pick for another spot that would be ideal but Tippett will want at least one non-scoring center or he'll have an aneurysm. So if we get Strome, Dvo and Hanzal down the middle with Richardson or some other plug I'd be satisfied with that.

Max cross checked in the face and he doesn't respond by punching the guys lights out. Welcome to the new and improved Max Domi.
