It’ll be a statement game one way or the other. If they can’t find it in them to put forth the effort and execution they showed last spring and if losing Oshie isn’t a rallying cry then we know there’s not a switch to flip this year. By R1G5 last year you could tell the Caps were humming and R1G6 was a clinical execution. I’m still waiting for a forward other than Ovechkin and Backstrom to show up.
