The point still stands. You're making a flawed argument and can't or won't admit that. It's not about how many pointless games it's about how many games he can or can't snag an extra assist or two.
There's nothing flawed about it. Those games with extra assists are what separate the real star offensive producers from guys like Benn who put up 60 something points with five footnotes from fans explaining why the number really should count for more (missed a few games to injury; linemates; PP time; CORSI; zone starts; etc.). At some point he has to be measured by what he does and not by what he's capable of.

Being too cautious with Kari IMO which will cost us, he should have played tonight.

Against the best team in the league, you play your number 1 when the playoffs are ont he line

There is no reason to believe playing Lehtonen would have lead to a better result. That game should have been 3-0 after one if not for several great saves by Bachman.

Wouldn't have mattered tonight.

They're too good.

Regroup and continue the push in the next game.

Why risk further injury over a shot at the playoffs? That's just silly.

Kari will play when he's 100%. Nothing short of.

Might have been smart to let Bachman take these lumps to have Kari rested and healthy for more winnable games.

You know this guy is 23 right? You have ragged on him all season long as if this season where he clearly hasn't looked as good as the past two is all we are going to get from now on.

Benn -2 despite scoring 2, on the ice for 4 of the 5 goals. Awesome. Goligoski and Loui somehow the only ones on the + side at +1.

I am glad we have Benn on our side. I am not sure he is being utilized properly, but I like having him.
These pups can all afford to learn.

Go check out his game logs season to season. He's not a steady offensive producer.

Is it ragging on him to say he's a 60 something point player? That's what he is. A guy who scores 20 something goals and 60 something points. If that's ragging on him, I honestly don't know how to talk about the guy.
