That goal absolutely isn't on Bachman.

It absolutely is. Hjallmarrson was coming in clear as day and Bachman simply went into the butterfly and let it fly over his shoulder. We've seen that Bachman has an awful glove and doesn't read the play right. He has awful situational awareness.

Awful positioning. That's a stoppable puck and when you're down one you need your goalie to make that save.

If your letting people walk into the slot untouched and take a full slapshot you can't expect the goalie to react fast enough. It went just above his glove hand. Maybe Kari stops that shot, but it should have never happened.

Let's just completely gloss over the fact that he was partially screened, and you would expect you team to attempt to dive and block that ****.

There's the problem. Kari spoils this team and hides too many defensive flaws.

Can only rely on a white hot goalie for so long. Especially playing like the Stars have the past 3 games.

Monahan please

Who gives a ****? He should have seen it, he knew the shot was coming, he reacted, but his glove hand is awful so he didn't get it.

Diving to the ground to block a slapshot is a ridiculous premise. You block it tall or block it on your knee, you dive and it goes right over you.

What? Bachman should have seen Hjalmarsson coming down into the high slot, he should have seen that area was wide open and Hossa was peddling back. He had enough time to see the play developing but as we've seen time and time again Bachman has tunnel vision, and rarely see's the play developing around him. He has poor hockey sense and it's why he will never be more than a mediocre backup in the NHL and hopefully not our mediocre backup for much longer.

Bachman isn't without blame. It was a stoppable shot, but it was one made much more difficult by Benn going in to block the shot with his stick. Goalie hate that because it disrupts their view of the puck.

Oh dude come on. Seriously? In a must win game, and you're going to tell me you're not expected to do whatever it takes? Give me a break.

Do whatever it takes? Diving to the ground to block that shot would have been the wrong decision. It covers no more ground that standing tall does, but it only covers the first little trajectory of the shot. If Benn dives to the ground, he's just getting out of the way. He picked Bachman's blocker side to block, because goalies are usually better with their glove.

However, Kari is better with his glove, Bachman is just awful.

I just don't even know what to tell you man. Agree to disagree.

So if Kari was in net for that goal you're basically saying it would've been a super sloppy goal to allow.

Funny

We need to get a veteran backup in the offseason. Bachman/Nilstorp are just too unreliable. We can't rely on running Kari into the ground.

Ew.
Not often you hear professional commentators call a win before the horn.
Yeesh.
