This is turning out like the Canucks game. Jackets getting smothered. Have no response. Bob doesn't look like Bob, etc. So frustrating.
The Jackets have to be the worst puck possession team. By far.

Also, the crowd needs to wake the **** up! They're really not helping. They're making this boring game even more boring.

25.2 Infractions – When Goalkeeper is On the Ice – A goal will be awarded when an attacking player, in the act of shooting the puck into the goal (between the normal position of the posts and completely across the goal line), is prevented from scoring as a result of a defending player or goalkeeper displacing the goal post, either deliberately or accidentally.

He wasn't actively shooting the puck when the net was dislodged. The net was already dislogded so that rule doesn't come unto play so it was to rule 78.5(x) which Toronto cited.

RT @PatrickGrubbe: “@seelee: @Aportzline @PatrickGrubbe is 25.2 still a rule?” / It is. But doesn't apply. Shot taken well after net was off

wrong. your rule assumes the net was dislodged accidentally, which it clearly wasn't.

We'll just have to agree to disagree with that. But every goalie uses the pipes to push side to side and clearly Toronto, portzline(cbj beat reporter), and most people who don't have a horse in this race would disagree with your argument.

You are proving your point incorrect then. It was off before the act of shooting. The rule states if it goes off during the act of shooting. Watch a replay. It was already off before he even started to shoot.

then maybe you should stop trying to make your point ON THE CBJ BOARD - most people here "have a horse in the race"

I'm really hoping this doesn't end up being one of "those games". Hoping for a big 3rd.

**** the Preds. I remember now why I used to hate them. Beginning to once again.

No **** it was off

That's what happens when your pos goalie kicks and pushes it

Yes but he wasn't yet in the act of shooting the puck. Of course you have a case if you choose to overlook what the rule actually says.

Saying it wasn't an accident implies Rinne pushed the moorings off on purpose which is also incorrect. Goalies using the goal posts to push off is nothing out of the ordinary.

That being said this is one of those stupid rules that should be rewritten to include some subjectivity. The goal posts coming slightly off its moorings made no difference in the resulting play. You guys got screwed by a stupid rule. I hope a play like this forces the NHL rule committee to look at plays like that.
