Well its going to be interesting to see if BB's coaching has any impact on the this squad..From what I've heard he favours the vets (as most NHL coaches do)..His biggest job is getting more offence (28th in GF isnt going to cut it), and fix that PK..

Alex Edler is back..should be a shoe in for the Canuck ROH after he hangs them up.

Best of luck to the guys that lost their jobs, but it was time to go..If they had been kept around any longer, the booing would have gotten a lot worse..

Yep. Don't underestimate the relief these players must be feeling right now. That cloud is heavy and has been weighing on the team for a while now. Defense is still going to lose us more games than not but the players might actually like coming to work again.

Would they not both be upgrades? 3rd pairing left sided depth D with some experience and size; and a RH penalty killing 4th line centre with some grit both on super cheap contracts? Why not claim them both?
