We're actually pretty lucky Read got that one. He took two shots at it. First one he failed to elevate above the pad for the empty net. Lucky he had that much time to get a second shot and that Hiller was as scrambled as he was.

No, not Berube. At the time Greg Gilbert was head coach but I don't think the reason for dismissal was attributed to one specific cause but supposedly playing condition was one that was mentioned.
