Now is the perfect time to take on a bad contract forward with 1-2 years left, get a 2nd round pick, play him with Zegras to boost his stats, and then trade him for another pick at the TDL with 50% retained. Fill the cupboard this season and next season go big in free agency or trades.

Have to get a physical RHD, preferably one who is suited to playing minutes with Fowler. Not a lot of options in terms of free agents. Maybe have to look at someone like Lybushkin and hope he grows into the role.
