Had an MRI on my shoulder yesterday. Back to the doctor on Wednesday morning to see what's going on.

Stupid hockey leading to injuries.

1) staying off these boards. 2) Watching Braves baseball. 3) headed to Europe for 3 weeks. 4) looking forward to having a more forward offensive oriented team in October. 5) noting how many dungeon and dragon guys are board posters.

Now that I am back from vacation in Eagle River, Wisconsin during the 4th of July, it will be some running, trivia and reading. I have two 5Ks coming up. I ran my first one last year, but it was 34 F on October 12 and I wasn't prepared for that at all. I am trying a summer race in two weeks, but it has been around 90 F and humid the last few days. The weather is not my friend! I have been reading some books. Next up are Dexter Gordon, The Road by Cormac McCarthy and then The Death and Life of the Great Lakes by Dan Egan. People keep giving me books. I have a pile to read through.

Get well soon, Jonesey!

I went to see Yesterday with my sister last week. She's a major Beatles fan (specifically Paul) so as soon as I saw the trailer I figured she'd enjoy it. It was good, some interesting takes. Not sure I'd recommend seeing it "in the theater" nor do I feel that that it deserves Oscar consideration or anything, but I do recommend seeing it.

A quick shot alongside the Charles Bridge in Prague.

That is just a beautiful picture!

I have a magnet of that bridge that I purchased in a little gift shop in 2008. I also bought some Czech stamps for my collection. I really liked Prague when I was there, especially the food!

I will never forget the Bill Murray line from Stripes. "Czechoslavakia? It's like going to Wisconsin!"

I had one of those in Pissburgh - doc then started grinding down a GOOD tooth... and broke the root; now I need to have it extracted and implant done due to his negligence

I lose :(
It’s really hard to find a good denstist, I lucked out with the one I go to now, but previously I went to one where I set an appointment for an extraction that was going to be around $100, then literally 10 minutes before the appointment they call me and say “Oh well it turns out you need to go to a specialist and pay $800 lol”. Ooo it’s been awhile since I’ve been pissed at something, but luckily after that bull hockey, I found a really cool denstist who doesn’t try to screw me over. I swear it’s nearly impossible to find one.

I go to Dr. Cristin Lewis at BiTE Dentistry. She is Dr. McPherson's daughter--the one who was the Preds team dentist years ago. After Dr. McPherson passed away, she took over the practice. First time I ever went there (probably 12-14 years ago now) I had to have a crown replaced. I have never had a tooth that I wasn't born with fit nor match my other teeth so well. She's not cheap but she is good, so I kept going. We bonded over a huge picture of Shea Weber in one of her examining rooms. She always put me there after I said I was a big fan of his.
