And it makes sense that he has been available for a while. He's a very strong analytical player, but I feel like that production is going to scare off any interested teams.

High-energy player that gives it his all, but his all doesn't include competent puck-handling skills. His effort level is third-line, but his talent is below fourth.

He's been scratched a lot, but other third/fourth liners produce more than he does. His trade request isn't as laughable as Zach "Me and Dahlin feed off each other" Bogosian, but it isn't far off.
