This was uber smart from Barrie's end.
He's joining a PP that was elite (essentially the only reason the Oilers weren't a mid-table .500 team), where he'll rack up 60+ points. His defence is what it is. It's bad, but so is most of the Oilers lineup in terms of defence.

I honestly think this guy might contend for the green jacket and still have 55-60 points to end the season.

True, luckily there are metrics to measure that. Not to mention, anyone with two eyes could see how bad our goaltending was this year.

Barrie didn't see a thing because he had already blown the zone and was racing up ice.
