Seems like a lot of money for a bridge deal?
40pt Dman with almost no PP time. Hard nosed, great skater, and still young.
5.6M is a good bridge. Long term it would be $7M or at least $6.5M like other recent signings.

Wouldn't you just go 900k higher then, to lock him up for longer? And if it was market value you could always get out of it in two years anyway with a trade.
He's a good player I just don't understand the point of a bridge deal worth almost 6 million per from the Oilers perspective.
RNH extension. Off-season improvements in 2020/21. If you're talking about $2m-$2.5m, that's a decent chunk of the cap. He's a good player I just don't understand the point of a bridge deal worth almost 6 million per from the Oilers perspective.
That takes him right to UFA at age 27, earliest he could possibly hit it at age 27? Good for Nurse. That seems like a real good deal for the Oilers.
Absolutely terrible contract but I guess it's better than what Oilers fans are used to so they are going to be happy with it.
