Strome doesn't suck?
Strome is at least an NHL level player. Mittelstadt and Thompson don’t crack any roster
Strome doesn't suck?
Arguable. Strome has not been an NHL player over his last 35 games or so.Strome is at least an NHL level player. Mittelstadt and Thompson don’t crack any roster
You really are all or nothing.Strome doesn't suck?
He's not a fit for this roster. The Hawks don't have wingers that can complement him.You really are all or nothing.

Strome is a unicorn that needs the correct wingers(bigger, defensively responsible) to be effective. The Hawks don't have those wingers.
I think he'd be great on Vegas, for example.
I'm not an idiot, I know Strome has a place in the NHL but it's a very narrow place.
If he was playing with 2010 Hossa and Sharp he'd be pretty damn good, for example. Those are the type of players he needs on his wing.
I never called you an idiot. You’re just very reactionary. There’s really no way to say this without coming off like a dick but I just don’t think your eye for the game is very reliable. Love your passion, and I’m glad you post here. Just embrace the gray bud. The truth is often there. He's not a fit for this roster. The Hawks don't have wingers that can complement him.

Remember dude, idk if I shared this with you before but I'm autistic. Gray is really hard to see. Everything is polarized.I never called you an idiot. You’re just very reactionary. I know it. It’s just not an easy thing to discuss.Remember dude, idk if I shared this with you before but I'm autistic. Gray is really hard to see. Everything is polarized. It clouds my entire existence.
I'd appreciate it if you guys could help me out in that category when I make reactionary posts.I know it. It’s just not an easy thing to discuss.

If Strome isn't producing at the clip he did prior to his ankle injury in January of 2020 he's hard to roster.
I've said this before, if Strome could skate at even an average level he'd be a star. It's the only thing holding him back and unfortunately that isn't fixable.
I don't disagree. I think he could be still a good player if he wasn't soft and had makeup issues.Skating (namely edges) is the biggest problem with Strome but you can't discount his lack of drive, soft play and poor attitude as other detriments.
Lol.Strome is the hockey player version of Bobby Newport.
Why don't I know who that guy is?
Yeah I looked it up and immediately knew what episode and the character.Parks and Rec reference, it's Paul Rudd's character.
He’s the high end version of Tyler Arnason.Strome is the hockey player version of Bobby Newport.
No one's even going to wish Strome a happy birthday? Some appreciation thread ...
Thank you, I was out all day.
I don't see how. He's not going to magically become a good skater and he simply isn't a physical guy.I'd be willing to give Strome the rest of the season to find his form from the first 98 games after he got traded to the Hawks. If he doesn't find it, he shouldn't be on the roster in the fall.
He had success without those things until he got injured last season.I don't see how. He's not going to magically become a good skater and he simply isn't a physical guy.
Yes, early in the season before most of the league was up to speed he had some good games. As Strome's time and space lessened he returned to being the soft, slow PP specialist that he is.He had success without those things until he got injured last season.
