Im okay with AV but putting this kid down for no reason yesterday was ridiculous. He could have just as easily said, We were very pleased with how Dylan played for us when guys were injured. He is going to be a big player for us in the future. It's just a numbers game now but he will get his chance.

Exactly...much easier to swallow when presented that way

Wrath is as good as traded for another AV type player, alleged high skill flash and dash poodle, no grit,no balls.Who will get to NY and forget how to score.Like Robatille.Like Nash.

Wonder who Mister Vigneault envisions replacing 87 year old Dan Boyle with next year? Maybe he is hopeful Diaz lingers long enough to be brought back into the lifeboat...

Agreed. The comments could have been phrased differently.

AV's own arrogance is going to get the better of him.

The only "AV type players" bringing down the team on a consistent basis are Girardi and Staal.

It's just a crazy double standard that AV looks past girardi and staals mistakes but gets on mcilrath if he sneezes the wrong way

Move Wrath for a draft pick and maybe by the time that player is ready Alain the Brain Vignuts will be gone so he can't bench him for playing well.

I choose to assume he's lying to cover for a vet who busted his ass but behind the scenes he knows that Girardi is on his last legs and internally he's extremely happy to have McI for the next few years. These guys sometimes lie

I find that very hard to believe. He's going to lie and cover for a veteran and lose games. One thing if we were winning and Pejorative Sluri was healthy. However, he's playing with a cracked knee cap and sucking leading us to lose.

If AV had no options you could understand it. What's mind boggling is that he does. AV is being an idiot. That's all there is to it.

McIlrath might be our saving grace from AV...

The organization has invested a lot of time and money into him. They want him to succeed here.

Look a this:

Yandle
McIlrath
Lindberg
Miller

All players that gave been yo-yo'd by AV

Etem
Stempniak
Klingberg

All players that have been run out of town by AV...

These are ALL players that organization was high on...

Somethings wrong -- there's a serious disconnect between AV and what the organization has wanted over the last 1.5 seasons.

If we miss the playoffs its going to prove that we've declined from a SCF team, to an ECF Team, to a team who missed the playoffs.

The same **** happened in Vancouver and he was fired

Fans better soon start the WE WANT MCILRATH chants every game . Vocal fans can accomplish a lot IMO . Nothing anymore noticeable than an irate crowd against their OWN club . Let AV and crew have it .

Add Del Zotto to the list of players who have been run out of town. AV has been doing this since his first season here. The only reason people notice it now is that the results aren't there anymore (because no Richards/MSL). I know we're happy with the way Klein has played, but the year before AV took over, people would have been mocked for pitching Klein for MDZ. AV squandered the asset and then sold it for pennies on the dollar (and the Flyers are the beneficiary).

This coach needs to go.

Good point. We could have easily gotten a 1st out of del zotto and we sold him for a guy who was a #6 dman...

****ing idiot. He lets his feelings run his personnel.

Management invested a lot in McI, I don't see them going along with that plan. No way. They'd fire AV first, I hope.

Klein has been our most steady D man this year so far.

At the time Klein was on the outside looking in in Nashville...

Granted he has been great here--but so has del zotto on philly

Funny how that worked, right?

Lets back up to the beginning of 2013-14...

if we had kept del zotto instead of Moore, and he actually worked through his issues, we could have retained him and shed Staal ...

Mcdonagh-G
Staal-Stralman
Mdz-

And then when Staal hit free agency, he could have walked, and MDZ promoted... Then Stralman kept.

Instead AV insisted on running MDZ out of the lineup instead of working with him.

This is serious lack of foresight by the front office... They're wearing the blinders that AV gave them... It's pathetic.

MDZ working out on a piece of crap Philly team only hoping to make the playoffs. Kinda like Stempniak, who people here have brought up.

AV hate here is ridiculous. Some people need a reminder of the Muckler, Low years.

Who won more regular season and playoff games than the Rangers in 2015?

Correct. Nobody. I don't agree with all of AV's personnel decisions but it's amazing how fast people jump off a cliff as soon as the team hits a rough spot.

People need to remember what being a Ranger's fan was like circa 2001...

I check this thread so many times a day just to see if If Dylan's made bail.

On another note for everyone posting that we need to calm down and remember what it was like being a fan in 2001, nobody cares. That was 15 years ago. I like to think on a time when John torterella was the coach who lead us back to the playoffs who got a team that in the beginning of the year was projected as being nowhere in the playoffs to the conference finals. And finished near the top in the race for the presidents trophy. And players eventually stopped listening. Everyone gets what AV has done but sometimes it stops working because players get tired of hearing the samething

I find it rather strange that AV gets virtually no credit for his first 2 seasons, but virtually all the blame for whats happened so far this season. Theres 4 scapegoats on this team. He's one of them, and the most pathetic example.

By 2001 I'd given up, the team was so badly run.

What's frustrating about management now is that we've been CLOSE to the holy grail (thank you, Mr. Lundqvist). But the guys at the top haven't been able to get it together to make enough right moves to bring us there.

Is it that or composition? Or making the wrong choice about whom to build around?

Not the discussion for this thread. Back to topic. One would hope that Mclrath finds his way back to the line up. There is just no justification for keeping him out much longer. It is not like the top-6 are better without him.

So we're losing without him in the lineup. I don't understand why they don't just play him to try to change it up. Plus he hits hard and and clears the crease like a beast not to mention he fights for his team. Things like that get your team fired up during games. plus he's played amazing, it just sends a message to the young players thats confusing. Etem gets sat for playing bad, makes sense ( don't think he really deserved to be on the roster after the way he played in preseason anyway), mcilrath plays amazing doesn't earn a spot, now Lindberg is starting to get going by scoring a goal gets sat. Talk about poor asset management. That's like buying new tires for your car but leaving flats (glass) and worn tires (girardi) on.
