Passion isn't the problem.

The lack of a system and skilled players are.

At some point this weekend a trade needs to be made or BB needs to be replaced, I hope the latter is not the case. The problem obviously is no one wants the guys that BM is offering around. He may be forced to waive a couple of guys. Take a look at the plus/minus on this roster, it's Halloween scary. It's even worse when you realize they've played 10 games, heck, look at the shots, or even the hits in 10 games. Numbers are pitiful for any team, never mind a team picked by all to win the cup.

The only stat favorable to this roster is the PK.

I can't really blame Andersen for the second goal. He tried to close the post which was the right play to make, I saw it more as a weird bounce and a fluky goal. It's crazy that he's .932 and 2.05 GAA with 0 wins.

It's not the lack of system, it's players not executing what they're told. When they do what they're told to do they are very succesful. When they don't and when they choke you see what it results to in games 7 and in the current stretch.

It's not really that crazy and he can absolutely be blamed. Just because forwards are sucking and can't score doesn't mean he can allow as many softies as he did.

Ducks are still within a reach, not any more: http://video.ducks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=2015020030-649-h

Ducks are leading, and can't can't score goals, last thing they need is a soft goal: http://video.ducks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=2015020036-404-h

WTF (great way to set the tone for the game): http://video.ducks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=2015020063-55-h

Not that this one would have mattered, but still a softie: http://video.ducks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=2015020106-428-a

Great shot, but still a very costly mistake: http://video.ducks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=2015020123-766-h

Tie game, with Ducks absolute inability to score, let's allow this one: http://video.ducks.nhl.com/videocenter/console?id=2015020141-445-a

It's not crazy at all, no matter how pretty the stats are. Few of those back and we might be looking at a slightly different standings, which might seem pointless currently but could end up mattering in the long run.

they had been bouncing pucks off the boards to the posts for 10 minutes prior to that goal.

he should have known that it was probably going to come back like that.

he was way the **** of his post / angle for a puck that just went behind the goal. if a player was there they could have stuffed that short side with the room he left.

he is absolutely to blame for that one.

Yeah, well, thanks for the recap. I wasn't saying that Andersen shouldn't be blamed, just that the 2nd goal by Blues wasn't totally on him. It's crazy that his stats are so good despite the way the Ducks (note: also includes him) have been playing.

Maybe, maybe not. You don't win many games scoring 0-1 goals, and the pressure of knowing he literally has to throw a shutout for the Ducks to win has to be having an effect on him. I agree it helps if your goalie is your best player, but it isn't fair when he's your only player. He's giving up 2.05 goals per game. Price is giving up 2.01.

I felt they played a decent game, especially considering we didn't have Getzlaf and Depres.

We definitely seem to have a goalscoring problem, so I'd rather we move make a trade for a LW who can score/make plays than fire Boudreau at this point.

And I'm no Boudreau fan.

I said it beofre and I'll say it again, I feel like Hagelin was a mistake with a team that has Cogliano, Patrick Maroon, Sekac and minor leaguers as their other LWs.
