NYI just doesn't seem very appealing unless they go nuts with the add ons to the defensive piece they offer up.
Not interested in Ghost when we already have Barrie. Zadarov still has quite a bit of offensive potential as well, and getting Ghost would force Zaddy into a more defensive role.
I mentioned in an earlier post that he probably isn't what you're looking for. There's been enough Avs threads lately that we should all have a decent idea who you want at this point.
I do have a question though, and this isn't meant facetiously, with everyone saying Barrie isn't a PP specialist, who actually runs your PP?

Lol, I remember reading that the PP was lackluster, but I didn't want to offend anyone. I imagine Ghost could help there as well, but I can also understand not being interested/preferring someone else in a return from Duch/Landy.
Problem is not only Barrie. Our PP simply looks braindead most of the times. There is a reason why this team aside from our miracle fluke year in 2013-14 has always been in the bottom 15 and many times in the bottom 5 over the last 5-6 years despite of this being the one area where our lack of depth and putrid defense shouldn't matter as much.
I am not sure that is a coincidence . The guy responsible for the PP. Tim Army . for whatever weird reason has survived 2 coaching changes and still is allowed to run our PP.
But yeah. Calling Barrie a PP specialist is funny. That is really not who he is. Atleast not right now on the Avs.
Gotcha. Are either of Landy and Duchene good on the PP, just don't have the 'brains' to run it, per se?
It honestly doesn't make sense for Colorado to trade a star for any one who isn't protected by the expansion draft. In an ideal world we get rid of beauch protect 3 D and 7 forwards then trade Duchene after the draft
Tim army and failure (the strategy is pass to iginla)I mentioned in an earlier post that he probably isn't what you're looking for. There's been enough Avs threads lately that we should all have a decent idea who you want at this point.

I think they are both better suited as scoring options on the PP, but not really the QB. Duchene is a goal scorer and Landeskog is a power forward, while someone like Rantanen seems to be better suited to distribute the puck.
