So how do we proceed from here? Because i don't know if we can just trade Dubnyk to anyone, he has been possibly the worst goalie in the NHL this season.

Markkanen was fine in 06, Conklin blew Game 1. Pressed into surprise action, wouldn't blame him too much.

MacT knew this team needed a bonafide goalie and did not get one. If not having a decent goalie costs this team the playoffs, it is on the GM.

He got married during the summer. This could be another reason for the lack of mental focus.

Refs missed that call for sure, but no team can win with a goalie playing as poorly as Dubnyk in net.

QFT. Really don't know how to put it in words. Always out of position, rebound chances on every shot, tommy salo-esque on long shots. I think he always relied too much on his size and never worked hard on the technical parts. I wish we would see the days when we had a goalie step up to keep us in a game like cujo did.

This is a good team. We've seen that when they compete. They can score. They can hit.

But you need goaltending. Teams don't get into the playoffs with poor goaltending.

Dubnyk needs a change of scenery as bad as the Oilers need a change of scenery in net.

Rubbish. I've chastized them for their play plenty this year. But this one, just as the Winnipeg game, is all on Dubnyk. At least 3 of those goals were stoppable by any standard at this level.

why he decided keep that puck alive is beyond me...then he couldn't make a save on Lupul...an easy one to save

For any opposition the last two minutes of a game vs the Oilers is like guaranteed success. Draw up a play ... any play, and run it.
Certainly it will work. It will work perfectly because the Oilers will fold like a cheap suit.
