Imagine judging a draft 1.5 years after it happened. Too bad about that bust Scheifele.imagine cheating on a test and still getting a D-
aka drafting Hayton over Q Hughes
The NHL and CHL have a symbiotic relationship. It is bad for the CHL if NHL teams are constantly testing the CHL's best players. Other teams are not doing this because it is illegal. Therefore it is an unfair advantage for Arizona. I think they should lose a draft pick. Why is this bad? Every team should be doing this.
Why is there a reason not too?
This.Bettman probably lets the Yotes off easily
That gif is amazing. If you're going to do this, you might as well go all out and start gambling with other GM's at the combine.
Chayka: Hey I'll bet you $100,000 that this next prospect does 0 pull-ups
Other GM: It's a bet!
Chayka:
Amateurish, if true. Smacks of manipulation of juveniles...not a good look for the NHL, which is why they are going to come down on that idiot.

Especially for a team that doesn't have their first and third round pick this year. The risk vs reward on this seems extremely marginal. Hard to understand.
I doubt it happened this year. It probably happened in the lead up to the last draft or two.Especially for a team that doesn't have their first and third round pick this year.
It'd be a waste of time and money if every team did it. That's exactly why the combine exists. To make things easier for all parties.I understand its illegal, im asking why is it illegal? What is the reasoning?
Bettman: "this one is on me guys"This could get very expensive for the Coyotes.
"It is clearly defined by the National Hockey League that there cannot be any physical testing before the NHL combine. If guilt is established, and again it's an ongoing investigation, the Arizona Coyotes could face substantial fines – $250,000 or more per incident at the discretion of NHL commissioner Gary Bettman."
