Well, When Dubas trades Freddy to the caps will free up the space for futures. And Hoffman is Hyman lite. He is fast and dogs the puck. And it can't hurt to have another 30 goal man on a wing.
Awesome idea. So we go with Campbell as our #1, because as you've said elsewhere, he outplayed Freddy last year, in his full SIX starts. I mean, who can beat that logic, and great sample size. What could possibly go wrong, with deciding to go with a 29 year old guy, who has a total 56 NHL starts, as your starter?
Just so you can bring in a PP specialist, who isn't really that good at much else, and certainly doesn't produce 5v5...
I mean, if Campbell had a better track record, I could see using the cap space, and some assets to improve the D, but for another forward who isn't good defensively, or 5v5.. that just isn't smart.
