My latest attempt, now that we know we have 4th; Nashville won first overall, Byfield and Stutzle were gone (which they will be) then we did this:

I'd be happy with this, if it were possible -- but Reichel won't be available and Anaheim doesn't want a bunch of late-rounders for a high second rounder, regardless of "point" value.

Still leaves the organization with very little depth, in terms of high-end prospects, at several positions, but if we keep drawing ping pong balls like we have, it's going to take years to accumulate enough assets to address this.

I'm swayed a lot by HockeyProspect.
Sometimes Khusnutdinov or Bourque are there and I take them. I like Khus better than they do, but they also have Reichel at 15.
So it'shard to pass up on him

Yeah, about the only comforting thing is that if the players that fall in this sim are actually taken earlier, it means that some other player fell. Lapierre, Jarvis, Brisson, Bourque, Khusnutdinov, Wallinder, Barron, O'rouke etc. One of those types of guys have to be there at 32, lol. Really hoping they package one of those late seconds with an early 3rd to move back up into the late 30's to snag someone else in that range as well. Really hoping for Reichel or Peterka at 32 if we miss on Stutzle. So fingers crossed

This board, myself included, would have an absolute meltdown if this happened. Quality > Quantity. There's no sure bets with the draft but I'll take the dice roll at 4 with one of Perfetti, Drysdale, Rossi, Raymond, Sanderson all day over 3 dice rolls of guys who MAY have 2nd line potential..
