He is a serviceable NHL player. You could replace him with Chris Higgins right now and no one would be be able to tell the difference. Oh, he does hit more than the average player but that's his most outstanding quality so far.

Durian fits the current state of the team more.
Byron could be had for the right price, but it might be too rich for what Ottawa would want to pay.

It is possible that he doesn't include the Senators on his NTC because he mistakes them for an AHL team.
I'd think Zach Sanford from the Blues could be available. Still young, 3rd line potential but he's falling out of favor in STL. Maybe a change of scenery would do something for him because he needs a serious fire lit under his ass.
