Risking losing DLR, who has his whole career ahead of him, over Plekanec, who has pretty much his whole career behind him, is not what I would have done.
And we need to drop someone else once Deslauriers is activated lol
Plekanec now, compared to Jacob Da larose in his prime.. Plekanec is still better.

Nobody wanted him... I think he clears now.
Might make sense to send Deslauriers on a conditioning stint, if allowed? A short term move but it might be enough if an injury to the forward lineup occurs
Some posters couldn't believe I would prefer a new 2nd round pick over DLR before training camp.
Hopefully Plekanec somehow nets us one again at the TDL this year.

Just trade Scherbak or put Deslauriers on waivers.
So if DLR clears does that mean a team can then trade for him and he can be sent to the AHL without having to clear waivers again? I'm not really sure how the waiver rule works for cases like that.
I'm just surprised that we signed this guy for 2 years and don't have a place for him in the lineup.
Surprised? MB signed Alzner for 5 years and don't have a place in the lineup for him now it seems. Nothing surprises me anymore with MB running the show.
